Hello watch fam, this auction is for an extremely rare authentic Rolex Cellini 4243. This is the "Jumbo" variant, at 38mm it is an amazing size. This watch feels larger, I would say closer to 40mm than 38mm. I have been tracking this reference for the last 10 years and this black dial/solid yellow gold variant has only been available a couple of times in the last decade. Usually these models either come in the two tone variant or the white gold variant. The black dial/yellow gold combo is the most coveted and more appealing to collectors these days. This watch is unpolished and keeping time. The last two pictures of the watch are the watch on a scale, this watch case weights almost 62 grams of solid 18k gold. That means the melting value of this watch is over $3900. I am assuming someone will find value in this watch higher than its melting price... Alongside this watch I will include three new Hodinkee straps. One of these straps is the Newman "bund" in black alligator leather. This strap comes with an extra piece of leather that gives you that Newman look. I paid over $250 for this strap. I am also including one brown leather and one blue nubuck from Hodinkee. All new! I am also including a Hodinkee box for you to store the straps. One of the straps comes with a gold-tone buckle so you can match it with the color of the case. Hodinkee is no longer making straps so these accessories make this watch even cooler. I am also including a Hodinkee black box/travelers case that is pretty useful.
